Opera in the Wild, at Australia's Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary. Just 20 minutes past Hornsby. Animals and Opera... with no boring bits! Puccini, Mozart, Verdi. Featuring stars of Australian Opera accompanied by the State Chamber Ensemble in a real working wildlife sanctuary.
Create your own memorable evening!
Gather your family and friends and head out into the Australian Bush for a wildly magical musical night. Pack a picnic basket and blanket, and don’t forget a torch! The performers will be in period costume. You can dress up too! Bask in the glow of the campfire. Get lost in the music accompanied by the friendliest kangaroos and wallabies. If you want more 'Wild" with your Opera, head out with a ranger to explore the tracks and see what the wildlife gets up to in the moonlight.
And if you don’t want the magic to end, stay all night. Book a campsite or cabin. Awake to the sounds of a bush breakfast of sizzling sausages, eggs, bacon and billy tea.
Visit the animals again when the sun comes up. Emus, alpacas, wombats, meerkats, echidnas, dragons, talking parrots, and all their furry feathery and scaly friends.
